Counseling experience to date includes over 4,200 hours of direct client contact and an additional 320 hours of supervision. Although currently inactive, this practice may be resumed in the future.

The second period of time with the agency started with contracting for SAFE Home Studies, added case management, and culminated with service as Executive Director.
The earlier period included Placement Supervision and responsiblility for placement decisions regarding children requiring foster care, supervision of case managers monitoring foster homes, and review of foster parent applications, including the final interview.  
As a therapist, I contracted with the agency to provide individual (play, Sandplay, and/or cognitive-behavioral therapy) for children in foster care. This experience included family therapy prior to reunification, and relinquishment counseling. Related to this work, I have been qualified by the Denver County Family Court as an expert witness, testifying primarily in cases involving potential termination of parently rights.
As Therapy Coordinator, I was responsible for assigning therapists and monitoring therapy reports for all children in the agency.
I also contracted with the agency to provide monthly foster parent training sessions. This included such topics as: Attachment Disorders, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Foster Parent Coping Secrets, Fostering Self Esteem, Caring for the Caretaker, Sandplay and Other Play Therapy.
